Helping writers do their best, most impressive work has been one of Sallie’s passions for two decades. A writer/editor and a writing coach who lives in a small town near Houston, Texas, she has worked independently for more than a decade using her love of editing and writing to help other writers as a fiction and non-fiction writing and editing coach. Much of her work has been focused on helping writers do their best work as they write/create their first fiction or non-fiction books.
Approaching her work with a sense of purpose and intent, Sallie strives to create a supportive, nurturing environment for writers. Dedicated to understanding the individual needs and goals of each writer she works with, she is committed to cultivating a sense of passion and enthusiasm for the writing process. Fueled by a deep love of writing and editing and a desire to help others unlock their own talents and potential, Sallie hopes to inspire writers to continue pushing themselves to new heights.
In the corporate world, Sallie has worked as a communications director, a marketing and communications manager, and a magazine and newspaper journalist and editor, among other roles. Her career history also includes close to twenty years in the academic arena serving as a full-time faculty member at Jackson State University; the University of Nebraska (Lincoln, NE), and the University of Florida (Gainesville). She has also served as part-time faculty at the University of Phoenix (Katy, TX); the University of Houston, Sugar Land, TX, and the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, TX.
